SOAR announces remaining events for 2022 and first-ever Gala

Coming into 2022, SOAR made a commitment to host more events across Appalachia Kentucky.

And we are doing just that.

In March, we held a Summit on Tourism and Downtown Revitalization in Ashland.  The event brought more than 650 people together from six states, 48 Kentucky counties, and 32 of our 54 Appalachian counties.

As we look ahead to the rest of 2022 — and even into January of 2023 — we’ve lined up an action-packed slate of events.

Register for all three events for $100 and with just one click

And since we are hosting more events, we want to make it easy for those who wish to attend all our upcoming events. That’s why we are offering registration for our next three events with just one click and a big savings. $100 gets you in all three events.  That’s a savings of $60.

That’s right. One click, registers you for:

  • The SOAR Focus Summit on Entrepreneurship and Innovation, presented by Kentucky Power, on June 23-24 in Hazard
  • The 2022 SOAR Summit, presented by Appalachian Wireless and the Appalachian Regional Commission, on October 19-20 in Pikeville.
  • The first-ever SOAR EKY Gala on January 26, 2023, at the Mountain Arts Center in Prestonsburg.

What if you can’t make all 3 events

Quick answer is yes!

We know that attending all three events is not for everyone.  Don’t worry! We’ll still be offering Early Bird discounts for our Summit and Focus Summit events.

That’s why we have registration open for:

  • The SOAR Focus Summit on Entrepreneurship and Innovation, presented by Kentucky Power, on June 23-24 in Hazard.
  • The 2022 SOAR Summit, presented by Appalachian Wireless and the Appalachian Regional Commission, on October 19-20 in Pikeville.

Early Bird registration is available for a limited time for each event.  $35 for the Focus Summit and $50 for the SOAR Summit.  After this, prices will go to $35 and $50, respectively.

Student Scholarships available

We can’t talk about the future of the region without the future in the room.

That’s why we offer student scholarships to all of our Summits.  This is open to high school and college students who reside in one of our 54 counties.  This is made possible through a partnership with Toyota Tsusho.

We also offer additional support for groups of students wishing to attend our Summits.  This includes transportation stipends for groups.  These funds are limited, so inquire about these now.
