Remote tech jobs are in high demand. And there’s no better place to plug in and work and unplug and play.
That’s why we have partnered with Code Kentucky to provide FREE software development training and pathways to remote jobs in tech.
We are currently accepting applications through July 2. The training will start on August 14. Apply now!
What is Code Kentucky?
Code Kentucky is modeled after the nationally-recognized Code Louisville, which has placed graduates with more than 300 companies since 2014.
This free-to-participate program is run by Kentuckiana Works, in partnership with the Kentucky Education and Labor Cabinet, the Northern Kentucky Workforce Investment Board (NKWIB), the Bluegrass Workforce Innovation Board, SOAR, and employers seeking highly-skilled tech talent to grow.
Train here and stay here
This unique opportunity provides training to be a part of the growing tech sector. It also provides above-average pay, and the ability to be a part of the global and digital economy in SOAR’s 54 counties.
Are you a fit?
No previous coding experience is required. What is required is a willingness to learn, work hard, and seize this opportunity.
Here are some other requirements:
- Be 18 or older
- A resident of one of Kentucky’s 54 Appalachian counties
- Possess a minimum of a high school diploma
- Have a home computer or laptop with a stable internet connection
- Must have a strong interest/aptitude in tech. This isn’t the basics of computers. Our program is geared toward people who have never programmed/coded before, but it requires some comfort/confidence with technology to be successful.
Over two, 12-week sessions, you’ll learn a coding language that is in high demand, including JavaScript, C#, or Python.
What’s next?
Apply now! After applying, you’ll receive some pre-work via email. This must be completed in two weeks for consideration to take the training.
