We’ve partnered with Code Kentucky to provide a training program that prepares you for a career in tech. Be a part of the global and digital economy while working remotely here in Appalachia Kentucky.
No previous coding experience is required. What is required is a willingness to learn, work hard, and seize this opportunity.
The training is FREE.
Interested? Complete our application – the program has a rolling admission.
There is a shortage of qualified tech workers. In tech, jobs are skills-based and not always place-based. This means you can find a career working from home. There’s no better place to plug into work and unplug and play.
Over two, 12-week sessions, you’ll learn a coding language that is in high demand, including JavaScript, C#, or Python.
Here are the eligibility requirements for Code Kentucky:
- Be 18 or older
- A resident of one of Kentucky’s 54 Appalachian counties
- Possess a minimum of a high school diploma
- Must have a strong interest/aptitude in tech. This isn’t the basics of computers. Our program is geared toward people who have never programmed/coded before, but it requires some comfort/confidence with technology to be successful.
While you train, we’ll be identifying companies and building pipelines with employers. Our goal is that you’ll train and build your career right here in Eastern Kentucky.
Once your application is received, you’ll receive pre-work. You must complete and submit the pre-work within two weeks to be accepted for the training.
