From pharmacy technician to landing her dream job working from home, Doris Ramey discusses the positive impact on her life since she took a teleworking job with BroadPath, a customer service company specializing in healthcare needs, thanks in big part to Teleworks USA.
With the help of Regina Tackett, Teleworks USA Lawrence County Hub Manager, Ramey was able to obtain certificates from the necessary training workshops that would further assist her with applying for a job, which she landed in February 2019 with Teleperformance, another customer service company.
Ramey stayed with Teleperformance for the better part of the year, but was thrilled to learn of a new company that would be hiring for pharmacy and healthcare-related customer service. By the end of March 2020, Ramey had become a full-time employee with BroadPath.
Since 2015, Teleworks USA Hubs or Digital Career Centers in Annville, Beattyville, Booneville, Harlan, Hazard, Hyden, Louisa, Manchester, and Pike County have helped bring jobs to more than 2,400 Eastern Kentuckians, and those positions carry an estimated $54.9 million in economic impact in new annual wages to teleworkers across the Eastern Kentucky Coalfields.
