PIKEVILLE, Ky. – Pikeville Medical Center (PMC), a Presenting Partner of Shaping Our Appalachian Region, Inc. (SOAR) held a press conference on Tuesday, November 27 at the East Kentucky Expo Center announcing more than $52 million in expansions.
The creation of the PMC Children’s Hospital ($7 million) and construction of a new Heart Institute ($32 million) were two of the largest announcements.
“The announcements made today represent a significant investment not only for Pikeville Medical Center but an investment in Appalachia Kentucky,” said Jared Arnett, executive director of SOAR. “We are proud of our partnership with Pikeville Medical Center, and we appreciate their support of our organization, and the contributions the medical center makes throughout the region.”
