Shaping Our Appalachian Region, Inc. (SOAR) Blueprint Partner the Mountain Arts Center (MAC) will host a special launch event for the television program “Live from CMH23” at 7 p.m., Friday, October 12 at the Prestonsburg-based performing arts facility.
The event is free and open to the public.
The one-hour show was produced by The Country Network, a national channel that reaches more than 20 million subscribers in the United States. Earlier this year, the network spent time on US Route 23 (the Country Music Highway) filming various artists at the MAC, Paramount Arts Center, and Hillbilly Days.
This is a significant step for CMH23, a regional non-profit focused on promoting tourism and musical talent along the Country Music Highway. The partnership with The Country Network will allow both entities to share content. This is important for CMH23’s goal of having a cable channel promoting tourism, musicians, and vocalists along the Country Music Highway.
