In today’s digital age, coding has emerged as a skill that not only holds significant professional value but also has the power to transform lives in profound ways.
Whether you’re a student, a career changer, or someone looking to upskill, learning to code can be a life-changing journey.
Coding can change someone’s life, much like Jody (you can learn about his experience as you read this blog) – from opening up new career opportunities to fostering creativity and problem-solving skills.
That’s why we have partnered with Code Kentucky to provide FREE software development training and pathways to remote jobs in tech.
We are currently accepting applications through December 31st. The training will start on January 8th.
What is Code Kentucky?
Code Kentucky is modeled after the nationally recognized Code Louisville, which has placed graduates with more than 300 companies since 2014.
This free-to-participate program is run by KentuckianaWorks, in partnership with the Kentucky Education and Labor Cabinet, the Northern Kentucky Workforce Investment Board (NKWIB), the Bluegrass Workforce Innovation Board, SOAR, and employers seeking highly-skilled tech talent to grow.
Meet an Eastern Kentucky Code Kentucky Graduate!
Jody, a recent Code Kentucky graduate and Paintsville native, was working in healthcare and looking for a career change. That was until he was introduced to Code Kentucky, where he felt motivated to take the risk, and chance, to do something new.
Does this sound familiar to what you are going through? Watch Jody’s testimony below and see if you too want to make a career change.
Train here and stay here
This unique opportunity provides training to be a part of the growing tech sector. It also provides potential above-average pay, and the ability to be a part of the global and digital economy in SOAR’s 54 counties.
Are you a fit?
No previous coding experience is required. What is required is a willingness to learn, work hard, and seize this opportunity.
