Kentucky Power announces grants in Martin and Johnson Counties

Kentucky Power, an East Kentucky Partner of Shaping Our Appalachian Region, Inc. (SOAR), recently announced Economic Development Growth Grants in Johnson and Martin counties.

According to WYMT, the Big Sandy Regional Airport in Martin County will receive $64,481 to conduct a feasibility study for the construction of a 10,000-foot runway. Johnson County Schools received $45,000 to create an Economic Development Pathway program in its school district.
