Infant Nutritional Conference slated for March 23

PIKEVILLE, Ky. – The University of Pikeville (UPIKE) Kentucky College of Osteopathic Medicine (KYCOM) will host an Infant Nutrition Conference on Saturday, March 23 on the seventh floor of the Health Professions Education Building. UPIKE is an East Kentucky Partner of Shaping Our Appalachian Region, Inc. (SOAR).

Dr. Jennifer Rebecca Thomas, a pediatrician and breastfeeding medicine specialist at Aurora Healthcare in Franklin, Wis. And a clinical assistant professor of community family medicine and pediatrics at the Medical College of Wisconsin, will be the keynote speaker.  She is the author of “Dr. Jen’s Guide to Breastfeeding.” She has received national awards for teaching, advocacy for children, and innovation with in her practice and community. She is one of only a few physicians internationally to be recognized as a Fellow of the Academy of Breastfeeding Medicine (FABM) for her expertise on breastfeeding.

Continuing Education has been applied for and approved in a variety of credentials.

Registration is $55 for professionals and $25 for students.  This includes lunch.
