PAINTSVILLE – SOAR Innovation was a proud sponsor of the 20th annual Big Sandy Women’s Business Symposium on Tuesday, February 26 at the Ramada Inn and Conference Center.

SOAR Innovation is a partnership between Shaping Our Appalachian Region, Inc. (SOAR) and the Kentucky Cabinet for Economic Development’s KY Innovation office.  SOAR Innovation assists existing small businesses and entrepreneurs whose business or idea has the capability to expand existing markets or create new markets by leveraging technology.

“It is so inspiring to see the growth of women-led businesses and the growth of women in leadership positions within organizations across Appalachia Kentucky,” said Brittainy Branham, a business and innovation champion who serves Johnson, Floyd, Martin, Magoffin, and Lawrence counties. “It is important that events like this take place.  It is an opportunity to network, share ideas, and collaborate.”
