APPALACHIA KENTUCKY – Digital Careers Now, a consortium made up of Big Sandy Community and Technical College, Hazard Community and Technical College, Southeast Kentucky Community and Technical College, the Eastern Kentucky Concentrated Employment Program, Inc. (EKCEP) and Shaping Our Appalachian Region, Inc. (SOAR), held ribbon cutting ceremonies on Tuesday, October 23 in Hazard and Cumberland to officially open innovation hubs and formally announce a partnership with General Dynamics for 100 jobs.
General Dynamics provides services for U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (UCIS). General Dynamics will utilize innovation hubs through Digital Careers Now at Hazard Community and Technical College and Southeast Kentucky Community and Technical College’s Cumberland campus to train 50 employees at each location. Once training is complete, the employees will work remotely.
