Appalachian Wildlife Center Gets New Name

Posted on 3 years ago

Bell County, KY. – What once was going to be called Appalachian Wildlife Center is now going to be called Boone’s Ridge.

The tourism and education venue located in Bell County, is set to open in the summer of 2021 and is expected to employ more than 200 people.

The re-branding pays tribute to settler Daniel Boone’s popularity.
“Re-branding has been part of the strategic plan for several years,” says Appalachian Wildlife Foundation COO Frank Allen. “After extensive research and response testing, we chose Boone’s Ridge. Daniel Boone remains a popular American historical figure and he left a rich historical legacy in the region. We intend to harness that popularity and legacy.”

The Appalachian Wildlife Center – now Boone’s Ridge is a Blueprint Partner of SOAR. To learn more about this new attraction, visit appalachianwildlifecenter.com.
