MIDDLESBORO, Ky. – Southeastern Kentucky Rehabilitation Industries (SEKRI) held a ribbon cutting for its seventh location on Monday, May 13 in Middlesboro.
The facility will produce Lifefighter products. Lifefighter is a back-packable shelter system for the United States Military. One of the seven goals outlined in SOAR’s Blueprint for the Future of Appalachia is Small Business.
SEKRI is unique is that 75% of its workforce has a documented disability.
SOAR Principal Officer Congressman Hal Rogers was on hand for the event.
