Excitement is building in EKY as we announce a star-studded lineup for the Country Music Highway Tribute Show on July 12 and 13 in Downtown Louisa. This FREE, two-day festival promises to be an unforgettable celebration of live music, local artisans, and Appalachian culture.
Legends and Rising Stars
Leading the charge are Grammy winners, Ricky Skaggs and Larry Cordle, alongside American Idol winner Noah Thompson. These Lawrence County natives are set to light up the stage with their performances. Ricky Skaggs, a 15-time Grammy winner, will bring his band Kentucky Thunder for a dynamic performance that promises to be a highlight of the festival. Larry Cordle, famed for his songwriting, and Noah Thompson, whose journey from construction worker to American Idol winner has inspired millions, round out the headliner trio. Skaggs, Cordle, and Thompson will take the Trace Creek Construction Stage starting at 6 p.m. on Saturday, July 13.
The Million Dollar Holler
Ricky Skaggs’ story is the stuff of legends. From his early days in Cordell, Lawrence County, where a mandolin gifted by his father changed his life, to his debut on Flatt & Scruggs’ TV show at just seven years old, Skaggs has become a cornerstone of Bluegrass and Country music. Larry Cordle’s impressive catalog includes hits like “Highway 40 Blues” and “Murder On Music Row,” and Noah Thompson’s powerful voice and moving story embody the spirit of country music. Our three headliners all hail from Lawrence County, dubbing the area “Million Dollar Holler“.
A Festival for Everyone
This event is about more than just music. It’s a celebration of Appalachian culture with artisans and local crafts, food vendors, and a host of activities for all ages. Presented by Addiction Recovery Care, Kentucky Power, Todd Case Trucking, and Trace Creek Construction, the festival promises to bring the community together to celebrate local talent and tradition.
