It takes guts to walk into a taco joint and order nachos, but that is just how I roll.
But how can you go wrong eating at a place with the prefix of suplex?
The answer… you can’t!
Executive Director Jared Arnett and I enjoyed lunch today at Suplex Tacos, a favorite place among those who call northeast Kentucky home. The unique eatery, flanked with photos of wrestlers and masks, is not your ode to all things professional wrestling.
The only thing professional is authentic and fresh take on Mexican and Tex-Mex favorites.
While the tacos, especially their fish tacos, are spot on, they are known for their burritos. You know those burritos the size of your head. There’s The Champ, with eight ounces of steak, salsa fresca, and homemade guacamole. And then there’s the SIX-ONE-NINE, steak or grilled chicken fries (yes, fries), cheese, and salsa fresca (and you can add guacamole and sour cream.
It’s a Royal Rumble for your taste buds.
Ok, enough wrestling puns.
I ordered the Carne Asada nachos today, and I give it two thumbs up or a double suplex.
