Inez, KY. – Shaping Our Appalachian Region, Inc. (SOAR) and the Martin County Kiwanis Club is hosting a Community Celebration at 1 p.m., Saturday, June 8 at the Roy F. Collier Community Center. The event is free and open to everyone.
There will be free food and entertainment provided by Creakside Country, Savannah Jo Young, Chasity Kinser, Jared Goforth and friends, William Workman, and family-friendly magician and comedian Joey Stepp. Stepp, a Sheldon Clark High School alumnus, also played football at Marshall University. A short program will begin at 1 p.m. on Saturday and food will be available beginning at 1:30 p.m. Jared Goforth and friends will perform at 1:30 p.m., Creakside Country at 2 p.m., Young at 2:30 p.m., Stepp at 3 p.m., Kinser at 3:45 p.m., and William Workman at 4:15 p.m.
The Celebration will have free food and refreshments, as well as free inflatables (weather permitting) sponsored by Inez First Baptist Church.
“We want to invite everyone to come out and enjoy a day of food, fun, and fellowship,” said Melissa Fannin Phelps, president of the Martin County Kiwanis Club. “This Celebration is just the start of an exciting chapter of Martin Countians coming together and working together for the good of everyone who calls Martin County home and cares about its future.”
