Perry County native newest graduate of MACED’s New Energy Internship Program

A New Energy program funded through the Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) and administered by the Mountain Association for Community and Economic Development (MACED) aims to assist those displaced from coal industry with an internship to work in the firld fo energy efficiency.

Randall Howard, of Perry County, was recently hired by COAP, Inc. in Harlan, Ky. performing energy audits on homes, retrofitting old homes, and building new homes. Howard worked for COAP, Inc., a non-profit providing sustainable, safe, and affordable housing for low- to moderate-income in southeastern Kentucky, during his internship.
