London, KY. – Operation UNITE (Unlawful Narcotics Investigations, Treatment and Education) has announced that they will be hosting its annual Camp UNITE in July and are currently accepting applications.
Operation UNITE, an organization launched by Congressman Hal Rogers in 2003, aims to create hope in communities and prevent abuse of drugs and facilitate recovery. Congressman Rogers is a Principal Officer of Shaping Our Appalachian Region, Inc. (SOAR). Operation UNITE is a Blueprint Partner of SOAR.
For the past 12 years, Operation UNITE has held summer camps for Kentucky’s youth. This year’s Camp UNITE will be July 23-26, 2019 at the University of the Cumberlands.
Camp UNITE is a FREE four-day, three-night activity that includes motivational speakers, special interest activity tracks, an afternoon at a waterpark, community service projects, talent show, field games, and more.
Camp UNITE is comprised of many fun, action-packed activities designed to develop leadership and communication skills, promote teamwork and problem solving, instill confidence and trust, and – perhaps most important – let youth know they do not have to face difficult situations alone.
Operation UNITE encourages youth to apply for a fun-filled week through the forms on their website https://operationunite.org/youth-initiatives/camp-unite/
