Posted on 3 years ago

WHITESBURG, Ky.—The Cowan Community Action Group has partnered with CANE Kitchen (Community Agricultural Nutritional Enterprises, Inc.- CANE) for a summer food service program to benefit children 18 years old and younger.

“The folks that are driving by here today pick up ingredients to make seven breakfasts and seven lunches for the week”, stated Valerie Horn with the program’s community engagement.

This year marks the fifth year for the summer food service program and this past Tuesday marked their 100,000 meal given out.
