ASHLAND, Ky. – Nathan M. (Nate) Haney has been named president of the newly-formed Braidy Real Estate, Braidy Industries Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Craig T. Bouchard announced on February 16.
Haney, a native of Paintsville, previously served as Senior Vice President of Governmental Relations at Brandy Industries. He was appointed to the Executive Board of Shaping Our Appalachian Region, Inc. (SOAR) in 2018 by SOAR Principal Officers Congressman Hal Rogers and Governor Matt Bevin.
Bouchard announced that Braidy Real Estate purchased a 700-acre tract of land in Greenup County, including a The Oaks golf course. Bouchard said the development is to prepare the region’s infrastructure and housing for the influx of new jobs coming to the region. This include’s Braidy Industries’ Atlas Mill, a $1.6 billion aluminum rolling mill that is expected to bring hundreds of high-paying jobs to the area.
Haney received his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with an emphasis in Law and Public Policy in 2006. He went on to attend the Brandeis School of Law at the University of Louisville, graduating in 2009 and further to receive a Master of Business Administration degree from Bellarmine University.
