Transform Your Grant Writing Approach
This workshop, part of the SOAR Summit presented by Appalachian Wireless and the Appalachian Regional Commission, requires a separate registration. It aims to equip organizations with the basics to identify, compete for, and win funding from federal and state governments and foundations.

Meet Our Expert Facilitator
The workshops will be facilitated by Melissa Vermillion, one of only a dozen people in Kentucky to earn the Grant Professional Certification through the Grant Professionals Certification Institute. Vermillion is a grant writer at Hazard Community & Technical College, where she has served since 2012. She is also a member of the Kentucky Chapter of Grants Professional Association’s Board of Directors and has extensive experience working with and securing funding through various government agencies and foundations, including:
