Day 1 of the SOAR Summit, presented by Appalachian Wireless and the Appalachian Regional Commission, is a wrap.
More than 1,300 attendees from 60 counties converged on the Appalachian Wireless Arena for Appalachia’s Premier Event.
SOAR hosted its first-ever TenTalk segment where 23 speakers discussed serious topics that affect the 54 Appalachian counties in Kentucky – topics that ranged from broadband to health concerns to investments and data analysis.
Some other highlights from Day 1, included:
- Speed Pitch Competition, presented by Community Trusty Bank, where three categories were represented: high school, college, and general audience.
- Fireside chats were discussed with three major keynote speakers: Nate Morris and JP Blevins. In addition, a fireside chat covered Talent Development and Workforce in Eastern Kentucky.
- Three agenda highlights included the three breakout sessions covering the following topics: Let’s Get Digital: Unlocking Your Influence on Social Media, KY Innovation: Resources to Grow Your Business, and Growing the Economic Impact of E-Sports in Eastern KY.
- Several Evening Receptions were hosted on the first evening of the 2023 SOAR Summit: general reception at The Pennington, the Innovation cocktail hour at 2nd & Main, and a live podcast was also hosted at the innovation location!
