Dan and India Kirstein are leading a transformative effort that is quickly spreading throughout our region, beginning in Madison County.
They are the founders of Enrich, a local nonprofit now with two locations in downtown Richmond that serve people from all walks of life whether they’re in crisis, in recovery, navigating housing instability, or simply looking for a way forward. At the center of their work is the One-Stop, a walk-in resource hub offering support with sober living, employment readiness, financial literacy, and personal development. The One-Stop touched over 500 unique families within the first three months of operation. But more than services, Enrich offers what so many are missing – an intentional interaction that fosters dignity, consistency, and belief in what’s possible.
Originally hailing from Ocean City, Maryland, Dan currently serves as a Lieutenant with the Richmond Police Department. India, originally from Hyden, Kentucky, was previously a Regional Director of a private foster care agency.
Together, they are raising four beautiful children, all six years old and under, who are learning early on the value of service, compassion, and living out their faith through love and action.
Both are proud EKU graduates whose lives reflect the heart of this group – using knowledge, lived experience, and compassion to drive meaningful, lasting change.
