The Country Music Highway Tribute Show is a wrap for 2023!
Our three-city stop concluded on August 19 at the Mountain Arts Center for an action-packed show celebrating Kentucky’s Country Music Highway. All three shows were presented by Double Kwik.
Because of the support of Double Kwik and our other sponsors and partners, we were able to award $7,000 to deserving organizations supporting arts and music along the Country Music Highway. Organizations recognized were:
- The Mountain Arts Center
- The Mountain Grrl Experience
- Country Music Highway Band Camp
- Johnson Central High School Choir
- Johnson Central High School Band
- Main Street Players
- Paintsville High School Band
- Letcher Central High School Band
- Jenkins High School
Also, community members, including music students from across the region, were provided complimentary tickets thanks to the generosity of Pikeville Medical Center, Appalachian Wireless, and Appalachian Regional Healthcare.
Thank you to the artists

A true collaboration
Our partners at Addiction Recovery Care and its enterprises of 3 Sisters Catering, Torchlight Studios, and Mountain Movers Theatre provided an incredible hospitality suite for performers and event staff. This event is also a collaboration between tourism agencies from across the Country Music Highway. This includes: Boyd County Tourism and Convention Bureau, Visit AKY, the Paramount Arts Center, Lawrence County Tourism Commission, Paintsville Tourism, Pikeville Tourism, Pikeville/Pike County Tourism, the Appalachian Wireless Arena, and Letcher County Tourism.
Another way we are supporting those promoting the arts along the Country Music Highway is through a Silent Auction.
The auction has a variety of items, ranging from autographed memorabilia and other fan favorites donated by the stars of the Highway and performing arts venues.
We are adding items every day. Some of the items online now include:
- Autographed Dwight Yoakum Fender Guitar
- Autographed Trace Adkins Fender Guitar
- Autographed Travis Tritt Fender Guitar
- Three Vince Gill gift sets (including autographed items)
- Ricky Skaggs gift set
- Alex Miller gift set
There are other items, such as Cincinnati Reds and Dollywood tickets.
The auction ends on August 31.
We are ready for 2024
The Country Music Highway Tribute Show will shift its focus to the northern portion of the highway in 2024 with shows in Ashland, Louisa, and Russell.
