Thacker-Grigsby Telephone Company, in association with the USDA, recently announced a $20 million dollar upgrade to Broadband for Knott County residents. Areas affected will include Cody, Pippa Passes and portions of Hindman.
The announcement follows a report that estimated nearly 80% of the American households lacking high speed internet were in rural areas.
