2023 SOAR Summit Exhibit Hall Registration is now closed!

Posted on 2 years ago

Registration for the 2023 SOAR Summit Exhibit Hall is now closed! The Summit, Appalachia’s premier event, is presented by Appalachian Wireless and the Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC). It will be held October 3-4 at the Corbin Arena in Corbin.

The application deadline was September 8. But don’t worry, if you missed the deadline, please email Joshua@soar-ky.org if you need the application link. We typically have more than 100 exhibitors at the Summit.

What are we looking for

The Exhibit Hall is a place where we showcase the region. It isn’t a place for pamphlets. It is a place where attendees experience the good work happening across Appalachia Kentucky.

  • Businesses based in one of Kentucky’s 54 Appalachian counties that provide products or services (special consideration will be made to innovative businesses with a tech and e-commerce approach).
  • Businesses or organizations supporting the work of one or more of the areas of focus outlined in the SOAR Blueprint.
  • Organizations supporting entrepreneurship, community and economic development, local governments, and non-profits.

Calling all students

A portion of the SOAR Summit Exhibit Hall is dedicated to high school, college, and university students. If you have a project and are selected, all Exhibit Hall and registration fees will be waived.

Early Bird Registration

Early Bird registration is now open through August 31. It is $55 and all-inclusive, including:

  • Two days of programming.
  • Breakfast and lunch each day.
  • Access to the Exhibit Hall.
  • The SOAR Summit Reception, presented by Whitaker Bank, on October 3 in downtown Corbin.

After August 31, registration will be $75.

There will also be optional Pre-Summit programming on Monday, October 2. This includes:

  • Community and Regional Disaster Preparedness Workshop, presented by the Kentucky League of Cities.
  • A SOAR Summit Opening Reception at the Cumberland Mint.

TenTalk

TenTalk, presented by the University of the Cumberlands, is a new addition to the SOAR Summit. It’s a simple idea: two slides, ten minutes, and you.

It will be on the main stage inside the Corbin Arena and is intended to be a place where ideas are shared and conversations are started.

The deadline to apply for TenTalk has passed, you can read more about the speakers who were selected HERE.
