Grammy Award winning musician J.T. Cure partners with New Frontier for a good cause

Posted on 2 years ago

New Frontier, an apparel company in the heart of Appalachia founded by two Eastern Kentucky brothers, has partnered with a Grammy award-winning musician from Eastern Kentucky, J.T. Cure, to do good and give back through Chris Stapleton’s Outlaw State of Kind charity fund.

J.T. has been playing music with Chris Stapleton since the two met in Morehead, KY in 1998.

J.T. was one of New Frontier’s first customers when the company started from humble roots in a garage on an old log yard back in 2016.

Fast forward to 2023, J.T. and New Frontier have spent this past year designing and perfecting a collaboration hat to offer for this special give-back project.

The hat features J.T.’s bass guitar, dubbed ”Purdy” on the front, and the key elements of quality and craftsmanship that New Frontier has built its brand on from day one.

J.T. acquired the 1962 Fender Precision Bass prior to the recording sessions for the Grammy award-winning and 6X Platinum album, Traveller. It has been his main bass on each record and every tour ever since.

The partnership between the two is available to the public within the same week as Chris Stapleton’s much anticipated new album, “Higher” just released on November 10th.

“It personally means a lot to me to be giving back through this collaboration. Doing so with a partner who has the same passion for the region and giving back to the community we are both from is really very special.” – J.T. Cure

These signature hats will be offered on Chris Stapleton’s website, New Frontier’s website, as well as select shows on tour. 100% of the proceeds from each sale will be going to the Outlaw State of Kind fund. The hats will retail at $30.00.

“J.T. is a fellow Eastern Kentuckian who is doing big things out there and making us all proud back home. At the end of the day it is really fulfilling to use our platforms to bring awareness and funds back to a good cause founded by good people.” – New Frontier Co-founder and CEO Joshua Ravenscraft.
