Estill County Finally Certified as Trail Town

Posted on 7 years ago

ESTILL COUNTY, Ky. – After years of community organizing and fundraising, Estill County has finally been certified as a Trail Town.

Representatives with the state’s tourism cabinet will be on hand to recognize the achievement for Ravenna and Irvine on Saturday.

This was a four year process and took volunteers and tourism officials working tirelessly to put Ravenna and Irvine on the map.

A press conference celebrating the Trail Town certification will kick off Saturday morning during the county’s Weekend on the Water event.

You can expect more visitors to the area Sunday when a historic locomotive arrives in Ravenna, where it will be turned into a tourist attraction.
