2024 Country Music Highway Tribute Show

Applications open for the 2024 Country Music Highway Tribute Show

Kentucky’s Country Music Highway has produced more stars per square mile than any stretch of roadway in the world.

We are proud of that, and we want to make sure this continues.

That’s why Shaping Our Appalachian Region launched the Country Music Highway Tribute Show, featuring up-and-coming musicians from up and down country music’s most famous stretch of roadway.

Mark your calendars for this year’s shows!

  • June 1 | Downtown Russell (Greenup County)
  • July 13 | Downtown Louisa (Lawrence County)
  • August 2-3 |  Downtown Ashland (Boyd County)

Proceeds benefit organizations supporting the arts along the Country Music Highway.

Applications open for the Bluegrass Block — Picked by Wellcare

The SOAR Country Music Highway Tribute Show is thrilled to unveil its latest addition: the Bluegrass Block — PICKED by Wellcare. This segment promises to celebrate the rich tradition of authentic Appalachian bluegrass music, honoring its roots and showcasing talented performers. With schedules set to be revealed soon for all three show dates, audiences can look forward to an immersive experience that honors the genre’s history while embracing its modern twist. Make plans to join us at the SOAR Country Music Highway Tribute Show.

We’re encouraging those with an authentic Appalachian bluegrass twang to apply to perform. The deadline for the Bluegrass Block is April 15.

It’s a wrap on the 2023 Country Music Highway Tribute Show

Shaping Our Appalachian Region joined tourism organizations from up and down the Country Music Highway for a three-part summer concert series in Paintsville, Whitesburg, and Prestonsburg. It was presented by Double Kwik.

Our vision was simple. To create an event that paid homage to the stars of the Highway with the up-and-coming talent working to get to Nashville and beyond. After all, there’s not an area on the planet that has produced more stars per square mile than the Country Music Highway.

Aside from the music, we raised more than $7,000 that was reinvested back into music and art education along the Country Music Highway.

Let’s make it official
