ARC Federal Co-Chair Gayle Manchin to Deliver Keynote at the 2024 SOAR Summit

We are excited to announce that Gayle Manchin, Federal Co-Chair of the Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC), will be delivering the keynote address at the closing plenary session of the 2024 SOAR Summit. Her keynote will take place on Friday, October 18, at the University of Pikeville, closing out Appalachia’s premier event with a powerful message of resilience, collaboration, and opportunity for the region.

As the leader of the ARC, Gayle Manchin has been a steadfast advocate for Appalachia, working to drive economic development, workforce innovation, and community revitalization across the region. Her insights at the SOAR Summit are sure to inspire and energize attendees, as she shares her vision for a prosperous future in Appalachia and highlights the critical work being done to turn that vision into reality.

The SOAR Summit, presented by Appalachian Wireless and the ARC, will be held from October 16-18 in downtown Pikeville. This three-day event is designed to foster collaboration and celebrate the progress being made in Eastern Kentucky. Gayle Manchin’s keynote is set to be a highlight of the Summit, offering attendees a chance to hear firsthand from one of Appalachia’s most influential voices.

EKY Experience Exhibit Hall

The SOAR Summit isn’t just for attendees—it’s an experience for the entire community. On October 16, the EKY Experience Exhibit Hall will open its doors to the general public for free. This exciting space, located inside the Appalachian Wireless Arena, will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on October 16 and 17, featuring immersive exhibits that showcase the best of Eastern Kentucky’s culture, innovation, and opportunity.

Explore the Tracks at the 2024 SOAR Summit
