American Metal Works earns Pacesetter award by Kentucky SBDC

PAINTSVILLE, Ky. – American Metal Works, a Blueprint Partner of Shaping Our Appalachian Region, Inc. (SOAR), has been named a 2019 Traditional Business Pacesetter by the Kentucky Small Business Development Center (SBDC).

James Glass and Denny Rohrer started American Metal Works in 2017 on the Mayo campus of Big Sandy Community and Technical College.  It is a Computer Numerical Control (CNC) manufacturing facility that provides services to the automotive, aerospace, medical device, and general manufacturing industries.

Small Business and a 21st Century Workforce are two of the seven goals outlined in SOAR’s Regional Blueprint for a 21st Century Appalachia.
